i've been trying to reset my HP MINI 210-1073TU ( Wins 7 Starter SP1 32 Bit) to default factory settings,tried pressing ESC on startup,then F11 for system recovery,message showed "BOOTMGR missing,Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart".
I've run HDD test (100% passed for all) , updated latest BIOS as guided by sites ,but still no improvement.
Then I tried going to ;
-Recovery Manager > "I need help immediately">System Recovery > Message in red showed "Your computer does not have a Recovery Partition" .
I even tried this to see what's wrong;
-Recovery Disk Creation>after clicking "Next",message showed "this computer does not have a burning drive...etc" ~duh~
Then,i plugged in my 8GB USB then installed ;
- HP USB Recovery Flash Disk Utility > Select USB Flash Disk to use (F: is the only drop-down option),click "Next" > Errror message showed "The source drive does not contain the HP Recovery Image" .
I have Local Disk (C), Recovery (D) , HP_TOOLS (E) in my Computer.
In the (D), there are HP_WSD.dat & HPSF_Rep files.
I've been trying it for several hours but still couldnt figure wat's wrong.
I have not created any recovery disk or change the window version or watever since i got the netbook,have not even use it for more than 10times.
I m only hoping to restore it to original factory settings as I'll be giving away the netbook.
Is there any solution to solve this? Buying recovering disk is not an option as I had mentioned I am giving the netbook away.
Help anyone ??

I'm having the same issue. Were you able to find a solution other than ordering a recovery disc directly from HP? I think that's what I'm going to have to do...
