Re-Imaged Hard drive

I recently sent my elitebook 8530 to HP because I could not get it to turn on. I received it back last night and HP said they replaced the system board, but because they reimaged the hard drive I no longer have Microsoft Office, any of the settings on my computer, or any of my data. I have an online backup system for all my data and I can deal with re-setting the look of the computer myself, but I bought the computer with Microsoft Office pre-installed and I was not sent any recovery disk or re-installation information. Can someone help me please?

Re: Re-Imaged Hard drive

Try this, open HP recovery manager, it can be found on the All Programs list, once it opens select "Drivers and Applications Reinstall"

See if Office is in the Applications section, if it is, tick the checkbox by it and hit the install button.

When you received the notebook new, did it come with any paperwork or discs?

Re: Re-Imaged Hard drive

I do not have an HP Recovery manager on my computer.

When I received the computer new it did not come with any papers or disks other than a receipt for the order.

Re: Re-Imaged Hard drive

All I can suggest is to contact HP directly about this issue.

Re: Re-Imaged Hard drive

I have contacted HP many times and I have gotten a different answers every time I've spoken to someone. One person sent me to the Compaq order Centre for recovery disks. Another sent me to Microsoft directly, but Microsoft has only suggested that I speak to HP about the problem.
