1.P - Pavilion dm1-3101ea 11.6
2.Windows 7 32-bit
a week ago my dm1 suffered a blue screen of death and come up with the error BAD POOL HEADER BD00019 or similar
In order to save my files i removed the hard disk and attempted to copy them to another windows machine. Every time i mounted the hard disk to another windows machine it also gave a blue screen BAD POOL HEADER BD00019, indicting that the hard disk/boot manager was corrupted.
In order to save my files I copied them and all the original HP partitions to a portable hard disk through a MAC.
I have now formatted the hard disk and am attempting to re-install windows from copies of the partitions on an external hard disk.
I had no opportunity to create a system recovery disk.
I can boot into the windows installation using a usb boot Disk supplied by my friend but don't know how to direct the windows 7 installer to the relevant recovery image files? within the partition?
