Recover computer from system image

Hi everyone,

 

I recently tried to install Ubuntu 11.10 on my computer in order to dual-boot between Win7 and Ubuntu. Ubuntu works fine, but I am now unable to boot Win7 nor the recovery partition on my hard drive to reset my computer to factory settings. I have not been able to regain functionality nor have any idea how to. The only option I can find is to restore my entire hard drive to a system image I made on an external hard drive once I bought it. Only problem is, I don't have access to HPs recovery tools any more, and have no idea how to actually restore my computer's settings. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there any boot-able recovery tool ISOs for HP out there I can use?

 

Computer: HP Pavilion dv7-6140eo

OS: Originally Windows 7 home edition 64bit. Currenty Ubuntu desktop 11.10
