Recovervy Error

Hi, so after i got BOOTMGR missing messagei talked to HP about my issuesthen they gave me 4 recovery CD/DVD from HP. i put in the first CD and a window start for recovery manager.
Factory image recovery preparations
*reformatting the windows partition of the har drive.(Check)
*copying the files required restore the hard drive.
the moment it get to the copying files a window pop up

Copy files fail
From: D:\PRELOAD\BASE11.SWM
To:C:\RM\Image\BASE11.SWM
This appears on the first Recovery CD i put in. please help. what wrong with my laptop?

now it told me to put in 2 disc , i put in after at 91% the same exact error come up

i restard the notebook then BOOTMGR missing
Press Ctr-Alt-Del to restard come up.
what do i do? do i have to arrange a time with HP to replace for new laptop or get it fix? I think i'm under the factory warranty. I don't know what to do,i'm dissapointed i just got this HP Pivillion G6z series last month.

Hi,
Shut down the notebook. Tap away at f10 as you start the notebook to enter the bios menu. Under the Advanced or Diagnostic tab you should find the facility to run tests on both the Hard Drive and Memory. Post back with the details of any error messages.
Also, post back with the full version of the operating system on your notebook - ie Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

okay so i did test run on primary Hard Disk Self tes (pass)
Memory Test (pass)
my operating system is window 7 home premiun 64bits

okay i ran hard disk test again got message Hard disk quick test 1 fault, full test 1 fault. smart check to exit testing. Hard Disk SMART Passed

Given the fact that your Hard Drive failed when testing the second time, I would contact HP and arrange for the drive to be replaced while you are still under warranty - you can check your warranty status Here.
