What is the 8 digit code it's not a serial number.

When tried to enter the bios three time, it doesn't spit out a 8 digit code.

it only show a on screen keyboard. When I press enter, it pop up another screen that system lock.

fter 3 tried, it come to a new screen with the following


"On-Screen Keyboard"
then display a keyboard on the screen only.

If I press enter again,

I get

"Authentication failed"

"system locked"

"Press the power button to restart the system"

I'm sorry, I have no clue at this point. Mine spit out an 8 digit code, and I went crazy trying to get in. Most of these guys no 100 times more than me, I'm sure someone will help you. I will try and find out

Almost all newer HP's have the ADMIN and System passwords recorded in BIOS chip.

The unlock procedure is to read the BIOS, clean the lock, sign it and flash the BIOS back with the resulted dump.

For this you need the SPEG programmer.
