I was robbed last September 27,2011 between 1:30-2:30am. I would like to know if there is a way of tracing the location of my laptop and if it is not possible, can you block the use of the said unit?
However, it would be best if you can just trace so I can bring the police over to the location and recover the unit. Actually, I have 2 units of HP laptops that was stolen, I just cant find the documents of the other unit. The one I have is an HP Probook 4321s Notebook LC087PA#AB5. with serial number SCNF0471PLW. I bought this in Hongkong. I am from the Philippines. Please help. Thanks

Only if you had tracking software on the PC and it was activated will it be traceable, HP can do nothing for you to recover it or track it, this software is provided by another company.
Sorry to hear about your theft.
