I have a HP Pavilion dv6500 Laptop, I am trying to recover my system, but the system wants use a Windows Installation disc because my windows/system32/winload.exe could not be loaded "status: 0xc000000f, Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt."
The windows installation resides in the machine, and apparently the recovery did not copy that as part of the recovery disk. I have attempted to identify if a recvery kit was available and it seems it may not be. What must I do to correct this issue?

Have you tried tapping the F11 key immediately after powering on the laptop. This should boot into recovery from the hdd partition.
You should be able to order Recovery Disks by phone. If you are in US/Ca..1-800-474-6836

Before ordering new Recovery Disks ,enter BIOS setup by tapping/holding the F10 key immediately after powering on the laptop.Use Diagnostics to test your memory and hard drive..

I had already tried the F11 key, that did not work for me, I got the same message after it said to ctrl-alt-del. Thank you for your suggestion.

Have you tried my other suggestion of testing the hard drive and memory in BIOS?

I attempted the memory test and it all good. I still have the same notice that the file is missing or corrupt. I have attempted everything except call HP. What are any other options that I can tray, before calling HP?
I have an old XP Version operating system install disc, if I use it will I be able to reinstall the Vista version that resides in the machine?

I had already performed many of the other suggestions provided, however this call to HP provided, for this machine, provided no Windows installtion discs. However, a solution was to either look into a new machine or get a new Windows installation disk; that is buy a new Vista or new Windows 7 software to install and replace the existing Vista operating system imbeded in the computer. The CS representative said that the new software will rework the machine and get it back running on the newly installed software.
