HP Pavilion DV6-1359WM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
The dv6 notebook I'm helping a friend with had become very slow, unresponsive at times, tons of pop ups, etc. I decided to restore to factory settings, which went fine. Once I did the initial setup of Windows, when the reset was finished, I went into the control panel and removed Norton and several other bloatware programs.
Now, my question is this. Since I have a clean new start. Avast now. and several programs gone that were lagging the laptop, what should I do from here? Go ahead and allow for the 100 plus updates Windows found? Check for the latest drivers?
Any help or tips on where I should go from here would be appreciated. We just want to be sure the computer is running at its highest potential and performance.
Thanks!

Check the driver page to compare versions on the laptop.HERE
By all means, get the Updates from MS.
