I have a pavilion dv6 6140tx,with windows 7 ultimate.

I need help....can we install only selected or required softwares from HP recovery disks.

The following link will give you instructions and all the different options with recovery.  You will probably need to use the recovery manager instead of the discs to install specific software but the link will guide you.
