hard disk

I am getting this message everytime I turn my laptop on for a few days now; ‘the smart hard disk check has detected an imminent failure. To ensure not data lose, please backup the content immediately and run the hard disk test in system diagnostic. Hard disk 1 (301), want to continue press enter’

 

I've performed the diagnostic test several times and the start up test passed as well as the quick test but when it comes to the last full test, it just suddenly stops checking and I can't exit out of that screen unless i turn the laptop off.

Hi,

 

I would probably do a backup BEFORE running any test and go out to buy a new HDD. HDD 3xx errors need our full attention.
