help please!?

Right so i dropped my laptop a couple nights ago and ever since then it wont turn on properly

We managed to do a scan and it said it was a hard drive problem

we did a memory check + it passed

we arent sure what to do with it now though as when we turn it on it wont load and when we click the reccommended option it comes up with a blue screen quite similar to the startup screen without the password thing or anything

When we clicked the start windows normally option it overheated so we chose to turn off the laptop and allow it to cool down

We turned it on today and the same is happening so can someone please tell us how to fix this problem? :smileyhappy: thanks!

Re: help please!?

The hard drive is damaged, replace the hard drive with a new one the same size (gb) or larger, then use the HP recovery discs to reinstall the OS.

You might still be able to save the data on the old damaged drive, connect it to another Windows PC using a USB to hard drive adapter, then you should be able to use windows explorer to browse the hard drive and copy your important files off the drive, hopefully.
