Re: how do i restore my factory settings.i deleted my recovery files

Hi,

You can use your Recovery Discs to reinstall Windows 7 as detailed in the document on the link below.

Using Recovery Discs - Windows 7

If you don't have these, you can order a replacement set of Recovery Discs using the link below.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00810334&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en

If you have any problem with this link, order them directly from HP.

If you live in the US, contact HP Here.

If you are in another part of the world, start Here.

i looked up how i can create my own recovery disk and when i do the f11 support in doesn't give me option 1 & 2 instead it keeps restarting..
what does this mean?

Re: how do i restore my factory settings.i deleted my recovery files

Hi,

If you have removed the Recovery Partition, you will not be able to create your own set of Recovery Discs, so you will need to order a replacement set as detailed in my previous post.

If you use these replacement discs to reinstall the operating system, they will also re-create the Recovery Partition on the Hard Drive - this will then allow you to use the 'f11 method' to reinstall Windows should you wish to.
