how to use the recovery disk for my hp mini

i have a laptop an a transfer cable but i dnt know what to do bekause the the hp mini has a black screen

If you are just trying to perform a recovery on the mini then I would suggest doing it fro a USB flash drive.  The following link will show you how to do this.

If you are unable to turn the mini on and you just get a black screen then you might want to try a hard reset first:
