HP must be behind in creating the support pages for some of their models, otherwise they are going to a different system (or schema) to handle them because I could not find a Software support page for your dv3-4xxx or my dv7-4xxx model tonight!!
The model I am working on is NOT new, NOT in warranty, and NOT supported?!? I could locate a replacement hard drive Part Number but then learned it was not available directly from HP. I had to begin the third-party sign-up process to access an Authorized Part Partner and also turned to Google's "Shopping" and Amazon for price checks.
What is this world coming to?
