hp pavillion g6-1233sl cannot crete recovery media

Hi all, 

i'm just trying to create recovery media of my laptop using HP Recovery manager, but it seems that something doesn't work,

In fact i launch the program, it says me that i can creat only ONE copy of recovery media, i check accept and press continue, and in the next screen it is waiting for somethin (i suppose a support to be inserted), then i try in roder:

1. to insert my external usb drive, nothing happen.

2. To insert an empty dvd into dvd recorder, nothing happens.

any idea on how to have a copy of recovery media?

Once you click your method to create the recovery media (Flash, DVD, DVD-DL) it may take quite some time before it actually makes them, give it more time to complete preparation tasks.

These option doesn't seems clickable  (In fact it asks to Insert one of the required supports). 

I' just launched the progam, with both an external drive, and a DVD-RW  inserted.

About 20 minutes are passed without any progress. How much time i suppose to wait?

And another partial OT question: Why waste all 4 available primary for a boot, os, system, rescue, partitions  ? Why all that stuff couldn't be inserted into some extended partitions?

I would contact HP and ask for a recovery disc set, ask for the fee to be waived since you cannot create your own due to a unknown problem.  1-800-HPInvent

Not sure why HP chose primary partitions, see this page if you wish to modify any of the partitions, important reading.

it really helped me!

Btw the problem was that Hp Recovery Manager doesn't accept DVD+RW as media. Using Normal DVD-R it worked.
