i have a hp pavillion notebook and windows will not launch have a flashing cursor what must i do?

Hi

You have a couple of options as I see it please find the steps given below might help you to fix the issue.

1) Testing a Hard Disk using the Built in Self Test

Please run the Hard drive & Memory test check if both off them passes if failed you need to replace the part.

2) Restore the PC to its original condition using the f11 key

Before doing this please back up your data as it will be lost. If unit does not load to F11 then you might have to purchase the Recovery disc.

3) Order Recovery Discs for Windows 7, Vista, or XP

I have done 1 and 2 but still no solution. All test passed.

Im having the same problem. All tests passed. F11 is not doing anything. I created a recovery disc when I first purchased the computer. Can I use that? And if so how do I Get it to run?
