I tried to create a Recovery Disk for an HP Pavillion dv6000CTO notebook. The recovery manager program failed & would not create the disks - just stopped halfway, and bluescreened.

So then I followed the instructions on this site to recover the computer - and it crashed the system & corrupted the boot manager.

Now what?

I need to order recover media, but there isn't any for this 4-year old computer.

There is no download of recovery media. You can use this link >>Contact HP to find contact options to request a Recovery set.

I can only contact HP if my laptop is under warranty.

The laptop is a Pavilion with Vista installed.

HP won't let me contact them because the laptop is out of warranty.

The key point here is that HP themselves block every attempt to get someone to respond to me based on the fact that the laptop is no longer under warranty.

There doesn't seem to be any available for the AMD model of dv6000.Odd.

There is no recovery disk listed.
