i'm trying to recover windows vista after installing Windows 7

i have a HP pavillion dv5 with windows vista installed, and after a while i installed a fresh copy of windows 7.

but now i can't get vista back and i don't have recovery discs.

please advise about what shoul i do, and if i have to download windows vista, what will the link i should use

Hi:

Windows Vista is no longer for sale, nor is it available for download anywhere.

You will need to contact HP and get a set of Vista recovery disks, or keep W7 on your machine.

thanks for your quik reply, but dont you think if i manage to get a windows vista and when installing to insert my product key, should this help?

You're very welcome.

Entering the product key does work for any Windows 7 installation disk, but I can't say if you can do the same thing with Vista, because I have never tried it.

I know you can't for XP. You must use an XP OEM installation disk to use the OEM key on the PC.

If you were to use an XP retail installation disk, and tried to use the OEM key or visa versa, it wouldn't work.
