Three different computer techs have recommended I reinstall my operating system to repair myriad issues with my hard drive (e.g. will not power down, will not recognize USB ports, etc.) Can't afford to hire anyone. They've offered suggestions on how to reinstall but have not provided step by step outline. Anyone out there have a step by step process sheet on how to do?
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Computer:HP HDX16 Premium Series Notebook PC
Memory:4 GB
Problem:Reinstall suggested to postpone hard drive or motherboard crashing
Tks,

Hi:
Please see this link below for guidance on the various methods you can use to restore the operating system to factory state.

It is very important to first back up any files you want to keep as restoring your operating system to factory state will erase all data currently on the hard drive and replace it with the factory image.
