restore to factory settings

Hi

 

I am running windows 7 on a compaq presario CQ56.  I want to restore the laptop to the original settings but in the instructions I am required to insert the original windows startup discs.  I bought the laptop new and windows 7 was already installed.  It came with no startup discs.  What are my options - I do not want to format my hard drive and be left with a balnk screen and no recovery options.

Hi

 

As i understand you have couple off options you will find all the answers in the weblink given below.

 

 

Restore the PC to its original condition using the f11 key

 

 

Restore the PC to its original condition with the HP Recovery Manager

 

 

Order Recovery Discs for Windows 7, Vista, or XP
