system recovery fails at 50% presario CO61-312SA

presario CO^!-312SA fails to boot. Click f11 to start system recovery which fails at 50%. I understand that the wireless switch must be on during the restore process, should the wireless button be red or blue?. If it should be blue then I cannot get it to go blue...if should be red then...it is!

I have bought Windows 7 home premium disks but have no idea how to re-install my OS...there are 2 discs for 32bit and 64 bit but I cannot read the sticker underneath my laptop to see which disc I need to use.

Any information you can give me on any of my queries today will be very much appreciated, thank you x

Hi

You have a couple of options as I see it please find the steps given below might help you to fix the issue.

1) Please run the Hard drive & Memory test and check if any part fails you need to replace the part. If both the test passes the you can call HP Technical support to order the recovery disc again.

I ran both the tests as you suggested and recieved the message " QUICK 303 " after the hard disk self test, does that mean the test failed or passed please?

The memory test passed.
