Do you have a recovery disk set?

If you are still able to boot into Windows I suggest using Computer management to set the recovery partition to active. Afterward you have set the partition to active, restart your PC. If you are lucky it will boot right into the recovery manager. If the recovery partition didn't work when you tried it, the I suspect you may have changed the original partition scheme before making a recovery disk set.
What is your operating system?
The recovery disk set is what your PC asked you to make back when you first set it up. That was your only free copy of the operating system, the required drivers and software your PC was delivered with. You can purchase a recovery disk set from HP for around $25.00 USD. There are also HP Partners who sell the recovery disks.
