Hello,
the units come with Office Starter 2010 - it has some Office functionality but not like a full version. You can use this and it is not a trial program.
Please see this document for more description.

- Click Start , All Programs , and then click Microsoft Office 2010 .
- Click Use .Figure 1: Office 2010 selection screen
- Click Open .Word Starter opens.
