How do I change the setting to allow drag and drop of files. It's a new computer and there is no drag and drop functionality working.

@KarenAustralia

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

I understand you need assistance with the Drag & Drop feature in windows 10,

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

What is the product number of your product? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

Is this the control zone touchpad without the visible buttons as such?

If yes, here's what you need to know:

The most commonly used TouchPad actions are gesture-based and provide shortcuts for quickly navigating in and working with windows and files. Most TouchPad models and software can perform all the gestures listed. In some cases these features are disabled in the TouchPad software, and only need to be enabled or configured.

To drag-and-drop an item, tap the TouchPad twice to select the item, swipe your finger to move it, and then lift your finger to release it.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE STEPS AND INSTRUCTIONS. (under common touchpad gestures).

Eager to help!

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accepted Solution.
