HP laptop battery isn't holding charge.

HP laptop is 6 months old and battery isn't holding charge.  Why??  Staples says, 'go directly to HP'.  Help?

Go to> Start>HP Support Assistant>Power Plans:FAQ>Battery Maintenance. This should determine if your battery can be conditioned.

 

I think the warranty on the battery is 1 year, if so, HP should replace it.

Download and Install HP Support Assistant from here and follow instructions from below link to run a test on your battery.

In case battery has gone bad based on results Contact HP Technical Support and let them know results of battery health check and you should have battery replaced within 24-48 business hours for free of cost
