Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello-

When my Spectre x360 is turned on its side, (ie, using it while laying down on my side) the keyboard and trackpad deactivate, as if I were using it as a tablet. (It also used to change the screen rotation, but I fixed that by locking the rotation.)  Windows 10 doesn't seem to actually think it is in tablet  mode according to the settings sidebar, the keyboard is still physically out in the regular laptop position- it's the whole computer, itself, that is rotated. Is there a way to turn this functionality off? What software is responsible for determining when the keyboard and trackpad turn off based on the computer's rotation?

Thanks,

Merrick

Upgrading to the latest BIOS has mostly fixed this issue. The keyboard now rarely deactivates when turned on its side. (It still does occasionally, but very infrequently compared to before, and if you move it around a little it fixes itself.)

Hello,

The screen rotation is software enabled and can be changed with a hotkey. Instructions below:

Involving the keyboard/trackpad lock those are hardware controlled and should not be able to disable in Windows 10.

Apologize for not providing a full solution but hope my information helps.

Thanks

Is there information available on what exactly triggers the keyboard and trackpad being deactivated? It seems like it depends on exactly how I'm holding the computer but I haven't been able to work out just what causes it or doesn't cause it to happen.
