Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Sorry, but this is just a community self-help forum staffed by volunteers and we have no capability for debugging problems with third-party (i.e., non-HP) applications.
For help with COD4, yout best bet is to see if the game supplier has a support forum and post your concerns there. You're more likely to get help that way.
As to overheating, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try: HP Notebook PCs - Reducing Heat Inside the PC to Prevent Overheating | HP® Customer Support
Good Luck
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
