I recently downgraded from Vista to XP-Pro 32 bit on my Hp Pavilion dv4 1435dx. I am now attempting to install XP-Pro 64-bit. However, I get prompted that my version of iastor.sys driver is incompatible with the 64 bit installation. Any suggestions out there? I'm having trouble finding the right driver. Do I need to download 64 bit drivers and slipstream them into my xp 64 bit install disc? I'm not sure what to do about this problem. Thanks for the help.

Here is the driver to use during F6 install from a floppy diskette
or the files can be extracted to be used for a slipstream

Thanks for the link. I don't see an executable file in the bundle. How would I go about updating the driver before installation? or which file should i slipstream? Thanks!

You will need to slipstream only Intel ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller Sata driver.
If you don't know how to do it then check point B of below guide:
You will find in this guide pdf and doc file with step by step instructions, but don't use SATA driver which is linked there.
Why? Because it's for 32 bit XP. For 64 bit version latest driver you will find here.
I don't recommend to install 64 bit version. It's not so great supported with drivers and software.
May I ask why you want to use it instead of 32 bit?
