i have exactly the same propbem mate , the only thing i could find was to try and hold the 'fn' button and press 'f4' at the same time and that changes to another monitor , however i tried this and it didnt work but give it a go it might work on yours apart from that i am completley clueless ! the problem im finding is that no searches tell you how to do it if you got windows7 perhaps its something to do with that !

Same here, I've already tried that. Updated all the drivers I could find and still no joy. As you say all the posts on the internet are for windows vista. Come HP sort it out!

I have been having the same issues trying to connect my Laptop to my TV to use as a DVD player. A normal HDTV cable would not work. I went to Best buy, and found a HDMI cable that said "Laptop to HDMI cable" It was the only HDMI cable out of all of the HDMI that said "Laptop to HDMI". It was also twice the cost, $50.00 for a 10 foot cable. It seems a little to high in price so I am looking for a cheaper one on the web. If I find one, I will post to let you know.
