i have a dvt8 laptop that came with the internal tv tuner. Of course it came with the stick antenna. I have been searching for months to try and replace the antenna. I see where many of you have had the same problem with the connector. However I can't even find the antenna to replace it on the HP website. Can anyone help. I need a part number. Thanks

Please identify your notebook/pc with more than the series number. Look at the base/rear/side of the notebook/pc at the barcoded sticker. Post everything you see on the sticker there except the serial number.
Post the installed operating system version ( and whether it is 32 or 64-bit)
Best regards,
erico

This is the link to the Service and Maintenence Guide. The part numbers for a couple of tv tuner antennas are listed in the illustrated parts list. I do not know which country you live in, so it is difficult for me to advise whether PAL, NTSC or ATSC is appropriate for you. See item 25 in section 3-5.

It's a dv8 CTO machine, so therefore a US model _ NTSC is what it is.

If you have the adaptor cable that goes from the computer to an F connector, any indoor antenna will work. My dv4t came with a cable and I have even used an outdoor antenna for reception. Antennas do not know about 32 bit or 64, they just provide a signal to the tuner. The transmission method today in the US is ATSC.

It is not strange to see the TV, you need a 32bit Windows
(Win7 32bit) in the Search Settings tv signal Select region where you live in QPlay and definitely check out the "real" area on the computer! Then go ahead and follow all the search form. during the search findings will otobrazhatsya, then all is good, wait until the "OK" and watch TV ... In Win Med Center is not Mongo on stupid, there is need to enter the index code of residence and it is not always true ... For Win Med Center finds and encrypted channels, several of these channels may work in part, for example, only sound. Say Fox Life - the only sound. It would be nice in a laptop to watch private channels
but there is nowhere approach for example to enter a password and enjoy: (64bit laptop and 32bit Windows
) So this system works the TV. Antenna jack on the fact the individual and it is certainly bad: (it was a nest with fixation, and then at a constant displacement laptop shattered ... So is not a convenient place where it is and nutrition, and DVD drive, the designer must have been drunk but with imagination
)
