I thought it was that one, but I wanted to be sure.
Save the file to the desk top and install it from there over top of your old one. Do install it from a temporary folder.
If it won't install, there is a special procedure to remove your present one, but so far I have not had to do that.
You can do custom resolutions with this driver, but it should detect your max. native resolution automatically and apply it.

Running a DV7-1264nr with Vista
I too have had numerous problems with Mediasmart Dvd after attempting forced updates. Right now, Mediasmart Dvd will not open for either Dvd's or Blurays. I can't open it from the menu or the program files or by inserting discs. I'm going to try your advice on uninstalling, CC Cleaning, and reinstalling the version in your supplied link.
If this doesn't work, I think I'll just give up on Mediasmart Dvd and buy a copy of WinDvd Pro. I've had nothing but trouble after updates. One time HP support actually had me do a system restore because they couldn't fix it.
I gotta tell you................HP/Cyberlink has some serious issues with their Bluray updating procedures. After reading through this and other forums, I can tell that it is a systemic issue, not isolated.
