I regret that you are still unable to install the graphic driver.
Would you try this please.
Open Device Manager and uninstall the NVIDIA GEFORCE 840M
Now try to install the latest recommended driver which is sp65437.exe for Windows 8.1 Professional and this notebook.
If you are still unable to install the driver I suggest contacting HP support, for assistance.

NVIDIA has a driver file that works. The file is named:
- Troubleshooting display brightness (Windows8, Windows7 and Widnows Vista)
- HP PCs - Sleep and Hibernate Issues (Windows 10, 8)
- HP PCs - Updating Drivers and Software with Windows Update (Windows 10, 8)
- HP Notebook PCs - Touch Screen Issues (Windows 8)
- HP Notebook PCs - Green Screen and Other Video Playback Issues (Windows 10)
