I have a problem with my screen/display after I installed Windows 7 on my HP Mini 2140 (ENERGY STAR). The problem is that sometimes when I start the computer, it starts with a resolution of about 800x600 pixels (it's big) on the logon screen. When I log on and try to change the screen resolution, it is not possible to select other than 800x600 pixel. When I restart the computer, everything is back to the normal (1024x768 pixels).
Other times the computer start up with a black screen, and nothing happens. The only thing I can do is force a shutdown with the power button. I found a video of this problem on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GDfeEBaOJM
I have installed the latest version of Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows 7 v220.127.116.11.1930 and before that I used Intel Video Driver and Control Panel from HP Driver and Software Download. I had the same problems with both driver installed. I had no the problem when I was running with Windows Vista (Preinstalled).
My chipset is: Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family and graphic card is:
Mobile Intel GMA 950 (embedded).
What can I try to do to solve the problem?
Thank you in advance.
