Product: HP ELITEBOOK 850 G3
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

EXTERNAL VGA ADAPTER not working. When I plug the external monitor to Laptop directly using VGA Port, don't get any output to external monitor.

 

Docking station works fine though. HDMI port is working fine.

 

Tried FN+F4

Upgraded the drivers, BIOS, Firmware, etc.

 

None of the above resolves the issue.

You have pretty well proven there is a problem with the vga socket. If the monitor you need to connect to is vga, get an HDMI to vga adapter:

Is the VGA adaptor covered under warranty ?

 

Can it be replaced?

Yes if the vga port does not work it would be covered by warranty but the only way to fix it is to replace the whole motherboard. But if its under warranty HP will do what it takes to make it work.
