I am looking to buy a 2560x1440p monitor to use as an external monitor with my Envy 15t-q100 Quad Edition CTO (ENERGY STAR) laptop. Can this laptop run full 2560x1440p through HDMI with Windows 10?

No, from its Maintenance and Service Guide:
● AC adapter, HP Smart
● Audio-in (mono microphone)/audio-out (stereo headphone) combo jack
● HDMI v1.4 supporting up to 1920×1080 @ 60Hz
● RJ-45 (Ethernet)
● USB: two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports
