Hello!

 

Please help me here. I bought the same laptop as you did, and I have the same problem.

I installed Windows 8 because on the HP site it sais they only offer drivers for win8. After that I installed the drivers but the AMD video card is not working, or the driver...I don;t know, my computer knowledge is average and don't know anything to do more...

 

So maybe your driver will work for me too, or maybe you have another solutiuon for me.

The problem is that you cannot manually switch between the video cards and you cannot be sure whether windows uses the dedicated video card, unless you test it in a game for which you have to choose before hand high performance settings in the switchable graphics menu (of course, after you have installed the driver that comes together with CCC - Catalyst Control Center)

 

To access the switchable graphics menu, you need to right-click on the desktop and you'll have it there. Or right-click on the desktop and choose AMD Catalyst and then go the a menu related to "Power" or something like that.

I will write this in romanian because it's easier to me, hope it's not a problem.

 

Am incercat driverul asta mai devreme, dar dupa ce l-am instalt nu am vazut nici o diferenta in joc (World of Tanks, care merge cu 20-30 fps, ceea ce nu mi se pare normal), asa ca am facut ce am gasit pe google, am dat disable la placa Intel, insa odata ce am facut asta am observat ca imi sacadeaza foarte tare in meniul jocului.

Mi-am dat seama ca asta inseamna ca nu merge AMD-ul, iar cand am vrut sa intru in Catalyst mi-a dat o eroare: ca nu am driver pt placa AMD.

 

Acum il mai incerc odata, o sa revin cu informatii.

Inainte de toate, ce iti spun eu se aplica la windows 7 si presupun ca e valabil si pentru windows 8. Ceea ce mi se pare destul de probabil.

 

Cei care sugereaza sa dezactivezi placa video integrata nu prea stiu despre ce vorbesc. Cele doua placi video sunt strans legate una de alta, functioneaza numai impreuna. Problema cu astfel de laptopuri ieftine (din seria este, probabil preluata de la compaq sau oricum, e o serie proasta) este ca nu exista in bios optiunea de a activa schimbarea manuala dintre placile video (asa **bleep** fac eu pe un laptop lenovo si stiu exact ce placa video foloseste windowsul).

 

Nu link-ul asta pe care ti l-am trimis este cel de care m-am folosit. Ti l-am trimis pe asta dupa ce am cautat iar. Era vorba de un model diferit mai vechi compatibil cu placa asta video. Va trebui sa caut, deci, link-ul sau (laptopul nu e la mine) va trebui sa iau efectiv kit-ul de instalare si sa ti-l trimit cumva, daca nu reusesc sa gasesc link-ul (care era tot catre forumul asta).

 

O sa revin cat pot de repede. Intre timp, n-ar fi rau sa mai cauti si alte solutii, oricum. Poate n-o sa mearga nici asta. Si, reiterez, va trebui sa te bazezi oricum pe sistemul dubios de switchable graphics automat. Dar la laptopul asta HP am vazut clar diferenta de fps-uri in functie de **bleep** faceam asignarile (low power / high performance - sau **bleep** naiba s-or numi alea). Si iarasi, am inteles de la unii ca diferenta asta de fps-uri n-ar fi dovada suficienta ca windows-ul ar folosi placa video dedicata 😄 E belita, dar oricum, ar fi o imbunatatire!

Incearca asta. Este de la un model mai vechi care ar fi compatibil cu modelul tau.

Eu, ca sa-l fac sa mearga (am uitat sa-ti spun ca am avut multe tipuri de erori, pana am reusit sa-l aduc la o stare decenta), parca l-am instalat pe asta, dar apoi a inceput sa crape. Si cred ca era vina CCC-ului. Si atunci am instalat de pe site-ul AMD driver-ul oficial de acolo, si el identifica oricum ca driver-ul era instalat, dar reinstala CCC-ul sau ceva de genul asta.

 

Deci incearca-l pe asta, iar daca nu merge, instaleaza-l peste asta pe ala oficial de pe site-ul AMD, unde cauti dupa placa ta video. Spune-mi daca iese ceva 🙂

Merci pt. timpul acordat.

 

Eu am cautat ore intregi drivere...pe langa ca am pierdut vremea pe tot felul de siteuti dubioase pe care nu gaseam defapt nimic, chiar si cele pe care le gaseam erau nefolositoare.

 

Ieri am instalat un driver, nu mai stiu de unde l-am luat, si am vazut o mica diferenta in FPS, de la 20-30 cat era inainte, acum urca de la 20 si la 40, dar nu mai mult. Deci, **bleep** ai zis si tu, nu cred ca ar insemna neaparat ca problema cu placa video e rezolvata.

 

La driverul pe care mi l-ai dat tu imi da eroare, zice ceva de genul: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements to run this software.

 

 Sincer sa fiu nu stiu ce e acel CCC...am mai gasit pe forumuri in timp ce cautam solutia pt problema mea vorbindu-se de el. 

Crezi ca daca mi-as instala windows 7 as gasi mai usor drivere?
