Hey @soul864,
I am going to do my absolute best to help you with a resolution. Below you will find that I have provided troubleshooting steps to help with the graphics driver not working properly.
Have you tried to run the Windows Troubleshooter?
Have you tried to uninstall the current display driver? If not, please try to:
- Press (Windows key + X)
- Click on Device Manager.
- Expand Display Adaptor.
- Right click on the video driver
- Select Uninstall.
- Once this is done, restart the Notebook twice and check if the issue persists.
Do you receive any error messages?
Have you done your Windows updates?
Have you run the HP Support Assistant for updated drivers and software?
Do you happen to have any antivirus software running, firewall, etc?
Do you have any issues in Safe Mode?
Did you try to update the drivers in clean boot mode?
Can you please provide me with a screenshot of:
- The Graphics Adapter section in the Device Manager
- The drivers tab in properties for the driver
- The Device status on the General Tab
