Question. What drivers do I need to get WiDi to work? If, not currently available are they planned, and when?

- HP ENVY m6-1125dx Notebook PC
- Intel I5-3210M 2.5
- Ralink RT5390R 802.11N WIFi
- Realtek PCIeGBE Family Controller
2. Operating System installed (if applicable)
• Windows 8 64-bit
3. Error message (if any)
• When Installing WIDI (SP58714) I get the error "System Not Compatible" and No changes are made.
4. Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred
• New PC, No changes.
5. Misc Info
- Contacted HP Support Chat. Was told Intel did not have the drivers yet.
- According to Intels requirements, my WIFI is not supported but their list seems outdated.
- Intel states that HP uses non standard driver/HW and HP is responsible for providing proper drivers.

You will need to install the WiDi software.
If it uses WiDi, it will need an Intel wireless card. This is what it should have since it has WiDi.
It will also need the Intel HD graphics card drivers. If your system has switchable graphics, it may not work with the AMD card. If it does have switchable graphics, make sure the power saving GPU (Intel) is active.
Here is a link to Intel's requirements for WiDi to work.
A compatible TV is needed. If you do not have one, it looks like there is an adapter than can be purchased separately for the TV.

I have a HP dm4 product XH124UA notebook running windows 8 with intel wifi driver 15.3.50 for windows 8 and intel widi version 188.8.131.52. The Widi opens then imediately crashes before you can read the error message. II have tried many ways but still failing to get the Widi workingafter installation of Windows 8. Please help!

It appears this unit is not approved for Windows 8. Sorry.
Here is a document from HP setting some expectations when upgrading to Windows 8.
It may be best to perform a system recovery using recovery disks to get back to the original system the unit was designed for.
However, you can try these steps. This is the only steps that I can provide. If these steps fail, then it leaves only the recovery unless a different community member has found a workaround that works.
1. Ensure that the .NET Framework 3.5 is enabled.
2. Download each of these files, but do not install them.
If your notebook is using switchable graphics, then you may need to see this post regarding this issue. WIDI will only work when the Intel graphics card is enabled on switchable graphics models.
C. Strangely, I did not find any WiDi software available for this unit. You can try the software that was linked in the previous post.
3. Run the downloaded files to extract the software, but do not complete the installation. Once you are prompted to install after the extraction, cancel the installation. Take note of where the file was extracted to. This is usually in c:\swsetup\<file_name>.
4. Navigate to the extracted folders. In each folder that was extracted, there should be a setup file to install the software. Right-click this file and select Troubleshoot Compatibility. Select the automatic settings option it provides and select Test Program to install the file. Do this for the three files.
5. Once that is completed, try using WiDi again.
Again, this is not guaranteed to work and I am not aware of any other workarounds.
