thank you!!

this seems to work just fine, installed it yesterday and so far no problems att all with my connection, yay! 😉

I've been having this same issue on an out of the box ProBook 470 G1 notebook.

Unfortunately changing the Wireless Authentication to TKIP isn't an option, however I've just found that MediaTek have a newer driver (5.0.46.0) then what is on the HP website (5.0.44.0).

I've just updated and will see if this recitifies these issues.

Kind Regards,

Daniel Murton

And still the problems are back, sometimes now even worse!

This morning I had to reboot both my PC and the router a cpouple af times each for the PC to even find my network.... time to contact HP and demand a fix/exchange of wifi-adapter....

I ordered this yesterday and hope it solves the problem, so sick of it now:

it´s one of the wifi-adapters that HP has put in the manual as "certified" so it should work just fine.

I´ll update here when it has arrived and I get it installed, probably in a week or so .....

So...

Here´s a new link to the Intel DualBand N-7260 wifi-adapter I bougt on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=301302091707 and i got it delivered yesterday allready!

Installed it and downloaded the driver here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24168&lang=eng&ProdId=3713 and boom! it works like a charm 🙂

5GHz network from my router at home and no drops in the connection, yes!

the switch itself of the hardware was easy, just two screws holding the card and two cables that you just press on.
