I recently did a clean install on my HP Pavilion g7. I tried to save as many drivers as I could onto an external hard drive, but a lot of the hard hard drive was corrupt. I am missing the drivers for the ethernet controller, network controller, PCI devicem and SM Bus Controller. Since I don't have the ethernet controller driver I am using a seperate computer to gain internet access, so I need to save the drivers onto an external hard drive and install them on the HP that way. Also the network adapter does not even show up in device manager. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The Hardware IDs are:
SM Bus Controller:
I am running Windows 7 64-bit. I tried downloading the drivers from the HP website but they did not work. I am not sure if I downloaded the wrong ones or if maybe I copied them wrong onto the external hard drive (although that seems pretty straight forward). Thanks in advance for any help.

What is the complete product name of your notebook PC?
In order the first three devices are:
Realtek 10/100/1000 PCI-E NIC Family
Realtek RTL8188CUS WLAN
Realtek PCIE CardReader
I could not provide driver links since you did not completely identify your notebook with product name or product number. (i.e. my HP loaner Envy17 notebook is an Envy17-3002ea or a AQ236EA#ABU)
You should be able to get the SMBUS controller driver from Windows update.

The full product name is HP Pavilion g7-1317cl Notebook PC and thank you. Also, I got the drivers for the ethernet and network controller, so know the wireless symbol shows up in the bottom right hand corner but there is still an "x" there. When I troubleshoot it, it says that the wireless switch is turned off, but whenever I hit the wireless switch the color and stays amber and nothing changes. Thanks again for your help.

This should be the driver for your Realtek wireless adapter. Try uninstalling the current driver and reinstalling this one. please post your results here in your thread.
