My HP Pavilion Entertainment PC notebook has a row of function keys (f1, f2, f3...) at the top of the keyboard like all keyboards, but to use the functions you have to hold down "fn."  What is normally a secondary function like screen brightness or volume is the main function on each key, I guess since it's specially designed for media.  This is really annoying when I want to use the shortcuts in Excel that use the f-keys.  Does anyone know if there is a way to change the keyboard settings so that the functions (f1, f2, etc.) are the default when the buttons are pushed instead of the media settings?  I tried using sticky keys to keep the "fn" key activated, but the problem with that is that it activates the secondary functions on all the keys (for example, it turns the letter m into the numeral 0), not just the f-keys.  Please help.
