I just purchased a p6280t and have an almost new second hard drive (Seagate Barracuda 3500320AS) from my old desktop I would like to install on this one. I read the instructions and had a few additional questions:
1. Should I disconnect the power and date cables from the existing hard drive as the instructions indicate? If so, when I reattach the cables it will not treat it as a new device and force me to format the disc, correct?
2. Is there any particular screw I should purchase? Are these or these fine?

Michael, if you are installing the new drive as a second drive to use as storage, you don't have to unplug the cables to the current drive with the OS. The system already recognizes it as the boot drive. This is only necessary if you are removing it for some reason.
Now, as for the screws, I'll bet that there is a computer store locally that will give you four screws. They have hundreds of them, if not thousands. Also, it is good move for them to bring you back when you want to make a bigger purchase. You can simply ask to buy four screws and see what happens.
