Burning smell

Hi, there was a burning smell coming from the PC and and fan has since been making some noises. Anyone knows what is wrong and is it safe to still continue to use my  desktop?

If it is as you describe then the answer is to have someone knowlegeable to take a look at it.

If you keep on using it and it is doing as you describe, then it will eventually cease to work at all.

Stop using it,unplug it and have it looked at!

Hello KPW, Can you advise the Model of your system. Also, have you verified that the power supply fan has failed?
