I just ordered HP Pavillion p6350z. My previous computers were Dells.
I didn't order any software or special warranties or anything. (I didn't when I bought my Dells either )
However, should I have?
I do most of my computer maintenance work myself.
I will be changing OS from XP to Win 7.
I am finding a lot of helpful info in this forum, such as the Recovery partition etc.
Thx

Linda, I know what a HP employee would tell you. However, I don't work for HP. I never purchase any agreements. This is because I can afford to take a chance. If it is a burden to pay for repairs after the warranty is expired, a Service Agreement may be the way to go. Most experts say that the only items to cover with an agreement are electronic based.
You will find that this forum will be a big asset to you. In fact, many prefer to come here for help before contacting HP Customer Service. If we can't help you, we will direct you to the correct area.
Enjoy your new HP computer. ![]()

I have an HP Pavilion for about a year now and I haven't had any problems. I never purchase the special warranties. I found that I never use them plus the way computers keep changing I wind up buying a new one every few years anyway.
