Pavilion 27xi
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

HP simple pass is installed and running on my Pavilion 27xi desktop. However, I don't have a fingerprint reader and really am not interested in using one for my desktop. Can I remove this without hurting my machine performance? thx

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

 

Yes, you can remove HP SimplePass without harming your computer.   

 

Control Panel > set icon view > Programs and Features > Right-click >>

scroll, find HP SimplePass > Uninstall

 

Restart / Reboot computer and log in

 

 

Click the Kudos Thumbs-Up to show you appreciate the help.

Click Accept as Solution when the Answer provides a Fix or Workaround!
