Do HP have any support?

[ Edited ]

I called Vince at HP tech support on 28/1/11 and was told to fax my purchase invoice, which I did.  I was told that I would receive a call in 3-5 days to have my computer collected because I have a power supply problem (the computer keeps shutting down).

[Personal Information Removed])

After waiting over 5 days I called HP on 3/1/11 and asked why i had not been called for the repair.  I was told they did not receive the fax.  I was told I would receive a call soon and to email the purchase invoice.  The email address would not receive emails.

I am still waiting for the call!

I will wait until Saturday then go back to Harvey Norman and request a refund.

In the past it took me nearly a year to receive my Cashback offer.  Only after numerous complaints was this done.  I should have known better than to deal with HP again!

I called Vince on 28/1/11 -[Personal Information Removed]

Fault - The computer keeps shutting down, power supply problem?

Vince told me to fax a copy of the invoice to [Personal Information Removed] with his name and reference number on it and he would organise repair.  I did it straight away

I waited

On 4/2/11 I called Jerome who said the invoice had not been received and I kept asking him if it has been booked for repair.  I finally got reluctant no.  I was told to email a copy of the invoice to his email address.  When I did, I got a message saying that the email address was not accepting emails :womanmad:

On 8/2/11 I called Harvey Norman and asked if I could return the unit for a refund as no one was prepared to fix it.  They told me to bring the unit in.  I told him that the warranty was on site.  He told me to call the repairer Jeff on [Personal Information Removed].  I did, Jeff did not recognize the Ref No, he told me to ring [Personal Information Removed] again I did and was told the part was on order and I would be called when it arrived :smileyindifferent:

In the past I bought a printer with a cash back offer, it took me a year to finally get the cash back.  Only after sending lots of emails.  I see on the forums that people don't get their cashback.:smileymad:

I think the service sucks - If the invoice was not received, why didn't Vince look into that?

Why did Jerome tell me to send an email to his address if he was rejecting emails?

Why was I not informed that the part might take weeks?

Both Vince and Jerome told me the unit would be collected in 3-5 days.  That was not the case

Bad communication!

Why do people have to fight for their cash-back offers?

Why to HP make it sound like a favour when they say they will send the cashback, then don't?

I would not buy another HP product.  I bought a Brother printer, they have service!
