I want to create a bootable USB drive with a batch file that will falsh the bios in comepletely passive (NO user input required) mode.
I have the latest BIOS update for my DC5850 PCs. The FLASHBIN.EXE utility lists several command line options including /Q for quiet mode but everytime I run it it still prompts me for a Y/N answer before it starts.
How do I get it to run in completely quiet mode?

Go here and find the tools and possibly a script that will do just that.

Erico

Try using this...
FLASHBIN /F FLSH.CPU DEFAULT
I work for HP, but my posts and replies are my own.

Hi,
I got that to work an 8000. I have an 8200 that uses the dosflash tool instead and tried
DOSFLASH /F FLSHUEFI.CPU DEFAULT
but this is what I get
Error! This Platform does not suppor this version of DOSFlash tool!
What am I doing wrong? can't I use the dosflash tool in quiet mode too?
