Folders: Some are reversed.

I have an HP Desk Top computer, p6630f running Windows 7, 64-Bit.  My files and folders all run top to bottom A to Z, except one . The main folder is ok but when i open it, the sub folders run top to bottom Z to A. How do i reverse them to match the others. I have no idea how this happened. Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Folders: Some are reversed.

Here is how to fix the sorting order.
1) Open the folder and select view, sort by, then button ascending.

Re: Folders: Some are reversed.

Thank you for your quick response. That won't work because the selections at the top are as follows: Organize, Include In Library,Share With,Burn, and New Folder.

Maybe i can explain better what my problem is. I want to go to my files, so i click on my "C" Drive. That opens a master list of the files on that drive. When i click on this one particular folder it opens up and the list of files in there are reversed. This is the only file that has the problem. All the other files are A to Z top to bottom.

Re: Folders: Some are reversed.

Give this a shot:

Open the folder where the files are listed in reverse.

Right-click on a blank area inside that folder (i.e. not clicking on a specific file--click on white space)

A menu should pop up next to your mouse pointer. Move the pointer to "Sort by".

A second menu should appear with these options (or similar):

Name

Date modified

Type

Size

Ascending

Decending

You'll notice selection marks--in your case I would guess that "Name" and "Decending" are selected. Click on "Ascending" and your files should go back in order. Hope that helps!

Please click the white Kudos star on the left to say "Thanks!"
