HP DC7100 "date and time not set" message on start up. We reset the Date Time but have to do it every time the system starts. The seller has sent a battery but I cannot see anywhere in the system to replace it (there is no similar battery in the machine and nowhere that it fits) Where is the battery located? how do I change it? I am sick of trying to get help from the seller and would have to pay return postage of $50 to send it back to them for repair or replacement. Hope someone can help

Hi,
Based on its specs, the battery should be similar to nearly all batteries on other machines, which is a "A lithium 3-VDC battery is used for maintaining the RTC and configuration memory while the system is powered down. During system operation a wire-Ored circuit allows the RTC and configuration memory to draw power from the power supply. The battery is located in a battery holder on the system board and has a life expectancy of four to eight years. When the battery has expired it is replaced with a Renata CR2032 or equivalent 3-VDC lithium battery." (around US$2).
